2025 Year 8-12 Applications – processing starts

On Monday 22 July, 2024, we begin processing Year 8 to 12 Applications for 2025. Please collect an application form as outlined below here.

Applications for 2025 Years 8 to 12 received by Friday 16 August, 2024 will be notified of the outcome from 2 September 2024.

Please ensure you submit your completed application form with all requested documentation by Friday 16 August, 2024.

Please be aware University High School is currently experiencing a high level of demand for places and is under The Department’s Enrolment Management Plan. Places can only be offered to students in the first two categories of The Department’s Priority Order as per the The Department’s Placement Policy.

PLEASE NOTE: All 2025 Year 8 to 12 applications received after Friday 16 August, 2024, will be processed in order of receipt. Families will be notified of the outcome after Monday 2 September, 2024, in order of receipt.

Outcome released

All completed applications the school received by Friday 16 August, 2024, will be advised of their outcome from Monday 2 September, 2024. Parents/carers will need to accept the offer by Thursday, 12 September.

PLEASE NOTE: Complete applications refer to applications that have been submitted with all requested documentation by Friday 16 August, 2024. An outcome may be delayed if additional documentation is required.

New arrivals to Australia for whom English is an additional language

Students who are recent arrivals to Australia for whom English is an additional language, need to have their language skills assessed and might be referred to an English Language Centre in Australia to obtain the necessary language skills before commencing at University High School.

The English Language Centre assigned to our region is the Western English Language School in Braybrook (phone number: 03 9311 9325). The English Language School will accurately assess when the student is ready to attend their local government school. Parents may submit a written appeal to the school, addressed attention of the Principal, Ciar Foster, via email at enrolment@unihigh.vic.edu.au, or in person at the General Office during opening hours (8.30am-4.30pm).

Mid-Year Applications for Year 7 to 12 Enrolment in 2024

You may submit an application to University High School at any time throughout the year.

Please note that students who enrol mid-year are unlikely to have a choice of subjects for the current academic year.

Please note: The Enrolment Committee seek to review applications and provide an outcome to families as soon as possible. However, if additional documentation is requested, an outcome may be delayed. A delay in receiving an outcome may also result if you submit an application form just prior to, or during a term break.

As per Department guidelines, you should not be exiting your child from their existing school unless they have an approved enrolment at another school, unless you have moved from interstate or overseas.
