The enrolment application forms and supportive documentation, can be emailed to us or handed into the UHS front office.

Please note: Year 6-7 transition forms are a different application form distributed by the primary school please see further details on our Year 7 enrolment page.

Enrolment applications typically take 5 business day to be reviewed from the time that we receive all documentation. However, this may take longer than specified depending on several factors including

  • the time your application is received, such as just before or just after term holidays.
  • the complexity of your application and/or documentation received, or
  • other factors outside the school’s control.

Our Enrolment Committee will contact you directly with your outcome, or a request for further information.

Year 7 enrolments usually open within the first week of Term 2 each year. The enrolment Year 7 placement form is distributed by the primary school. If your child attends a non-government primary school, the primary school will either follow the governmental primary school procedure, or not.

We recommend speaking to your primary school first. You may download this form from the DET website or request a copy from us. Please email or visit the school to obtain a form.

University High School’s wellbeing team provides short term mental health support as well as practical strategies to students to help maintain a positive mindset. We understand school can be difficult for our students – so it is important that we take care of ourselves not only physically, but emotionally and mentally. Wellbeing staff can be contacted on 9347-2022 or university.hs@education.vic.gov.au

All students offered a confirmed place in Year 7 at University High School can apply to be part of the Year 7 Acceleration Program. This process begins when your child is within Year 6 transitioning into Year 7.

Admission to this program is at Year 7 level only and the selection process is based on aptitude tests and interviews.

Applications for the Acceleration Program after registrations have closed are not permitted.

Please follow this link to access Parent Payments documentation.

University High can only consider applications for those currently living within Melbourne at the time of applying. All applications received from those living outside of Melbourne will be placed on hold.

Registration can be completed directly on our website for Elizabeth Blackburn Science for year 11 and 12 intake.

Practice exams are offered through Edutest, or other independent providers. We encourage you to search independently.

Our Accelerated Program has entry at Year 7 only.

As the school is closed during school holiday breaks, applications received during this time are only reviewed upon our return. This may delay the start date for your child, and we encourage you to keep this in mind when applying.

NB: Please be aware we review all applications as quickly as possible.

We can help you with this. Please email university.hs@education.vic.gov.au for assistance in resetting your Compass login details

Your child’s sub-school coordinator is your key point of contact at school. Please contact the coordinator with any questions or concerns regarding your child’s learning or progress.
