A safe and inclusive school environment

The University High School’s School Council believes that schools should provide a safe and inclusive environment for all students, so that they can learn, grow, and reach their full potential – free from bullying and discrimination.

We are proud to support Safe Schools Coalition Australia and its work to create positive change for same sex attracted, intersex and gender diverse students, school staff and families.
Currently there are over 250 Safe Schools Coalition member schools in Victoria. The University High School is one of them.

Safe Schools Coalition provides a well-researched, informative and comprehensive program to help ensure that schools are an inclusive space for students of all identities. The Safe Schools program provides an evidence based framework to dispel misconceptions, and teach inclusion and empathy in an age appropriate way.
You can find out more about Safe Schools Coalition and the resources they have produced for school staff, students and families at www.safeschoolscoalition.org.au
