Applications for Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences

Each candidate will be considered based on their ability to demonstrate:

  • A genuine passion and intense interest in pursuing a career in the field of the sciences or mathematics
  • A talent and potential for high performance in the sciences, mathematics and related fields of interest.
  • The ability to thrive and engage in an innovative style learning environment while preserving the values and traditions of The University High School.

Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences has an admission capacity of 100 Year 11 and 100 Year 12 students. You do not have to reside within the school zone to apply. We are looking to enrol students from diverse backgrounds and life experiences who share a common passion and potential for a career in Science and Maths.

  • Students must be an Australian citizen or holder of a eligible resident's visa at the time of application.
  • Aptitude tests and interviews will be used to select up to 100 passionate Year 10 students to study at the school
    in the following year.

Applications for Year 11 and Year 12 entry into Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences in 2020 are now open.

Late registration closing date is Saturday, 22 July 2019 (late fee applies)

Information Evenings

We will be holding an information evening in the Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences theatre, followed by a tour of the facility.

Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences Tours

Tours of Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences facilities will take place during Term 2 on every Thursday morning.

Final tours are available for the first week of Term 3.

Tours are available on the mornings of

  • Tuesday 16 July 2019 9:15 am.
  • Thursday 18 July 2019 9:15 am.

There is also an evening tour available on Thursday 18 July 2019 at 7:00 pm.

Information Session

A further information session for parents will take place in the Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences Theatre at The University High School from 9.00 a.m.–10.00am on the morning of the testing. Parents wanting to know more information about Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences are invited to attend this session.
