Applications for Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences

Each candidate will be considered based on their ability to demonstrate:

  • A genuine passion and intense interest in pursuing a career in the field of the sciences or mathematics
  • A talent and potential for high performance in the sciences, mathematics and related fields of interest.
  • The ability to thrive and engage in an innovative style learning environment while preserving the values and traditions of The University High School.

Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences has an admission capacity of 100 Year 11 and 100 Year 12 students. You do not have to reside within the school zone to apply. We are looking to enrol students from diverse backgrounds and life experiences who share a common passion and potential for a career in Science and Maths.

  • Students must be an Australian citizen or holder of an eligible resident's visa at the time of application.
  • Aptitude tests and interviews will be used to select up to 100 passionate Year 10 students to study at the school
    in the following year.

Applications for Year 11 and Year 12 entry into Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences in 2023 are closed.

Late registration closing date is Saturday, 9 July 2022 (late fee applies)

Information Evenings

NB: The planned onsite information evening for this Term has been cancelled due to restrictions on school tours at this time. Please use the booking link below to register your interest in attending an online Zoom meeting that will give you the opportunity to find out more about the school and ask any questions about the program.

This is an online event held for prospective students and their families on the curriculum, facilities and the entrance process for 2023 academic year.

A Zoom link will be emailed out to all families/carers that sign-up via trybooking.

The evening will be hosted by Michael Foster (Assistant Principal), Liam Ahern (Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences Coordinator and Fraser Henry (Head of Inquiry Learning)

Elizabeth Blackburn Sciences Tours

Tours are currently unavailable due to maintenance to the foyer and ground floor theatrette. Tours will resume upon completion of these works, which is yet to be finalised. Prospective students that have registered for the Edutest on July 16th will be prioritised upon completion of the works. Several timeslots will be available to ensure all prospective students and their family are able to explore the facility through our tours.
